Dan French, Chairman founded Atlantic Housing Foundation in 1999. Mr. French has 35 years of commercial real estate
experience in acquisition, development, management and rehabilitation
of multifamily housing. He earned an MBA from the University of Texas
at San Antonio in 1996 and a Bachelor of Business Administration from
Northwood University at Cedar Hill, Texas in 1972.
Mr. French has
served as Director of Development for the Housing
Authority of San Antonio, Texas, Head of the
Affordable Housing Department of the Southern
Consolidated Office of the Resolution Trust Corp.,
San Antonio, Texas, Housing Commissioner for
the town of Hilton Head Island, SC and Chairman
of the Greater Hitlon Head Community Development
Corporation.
Michael Nguyen, President and CEO joined Atlantic Housing Foundation, Inc. in April, 2008 as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Michael has over 10 years experience as an executive in multifamily acquisition, development, rehabilitation, disposition and asset management. Prior to joining Atlantic Housing Foundation, Michael founded Cima Advisors, a real estate structured finance and asset management firm. Previously, Michael was a Partner at the Utley Group, a private equity firm with a key focus on multifamily acquisition and development. Before the real estate business, Michael was an investment banker specializing in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, debt and equity placements. He was also a Principal with First Southwest Company in its corporate finance department and a Financial Analyst at Banque Paribas and Prudential-Bache in New York.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and MBA from the University of Texas.
Carol McBride, Chief Financial Officer joined
Atlantic Housing Foundation in June 2004 and brings extensive experience in financial management
and accounting to the organization. She is responsible
for directing the Foundation's fiscal and reporting functions and has over 25 years of experience in multifamily and commercial real estate.
Carol is a C.P.A. and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from
the University of Oklahoma.
Previously, Carol served as a controller for Cardinal Capital Partners in Dallas,
Texas, Lincoln Property Services of Dallas and Property Company of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She began her career as Senior Staff Accountant
of Touche Ross & Co. of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Elida Cerno, Compliance Manager , Executive
Assistant and Office Manager joined Atlantic Housing
Foundation in 2004 and brings 20+ years of experience
in banking, office management, executive administration and supervision.
Previously, Elida served as Office Manager/ Executive Assistant for Anterra
Realty of Dallas, Texas. Other experience includes serving as a FDIC Claims Specialist, Banking Officer/Supervisor with Sequor National Bank and Bank
One of Dallas, Texas specializing in Cash Managment and Customer
Service. Elida graduated from Allstate Business College in 1976.
Rev. Tim Shupp, Director of Program Development
is responsible for community and public relations,
client services, development, and implementation and monitoring of
social services for all Atlantic Housing properties.
Tim has 27 years experience in business and non-profit
services. He earned a Master of Arts from Southwestern Theological
Seminary in 1998, an advanced Hispanic Studies Degree from the University
Complutense of Madrid, Spain in 1989 and a Bachelor
of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington,
Texas in 1983.
Rev. Shupp is a licensed and ordained Southern Baptist Minister and served
21 years with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist
Convention. He is currently serving as Associate Pastor of Cross Pointe Church in Southlake, Texas. As a missionary, he worked in personnel selection, was Director of the International Sales Division of Casa
Bautista de Publications for Latin America , as well as serving in West Central Africa for 5 years
and in Spain for 10 years.
Kenneth P. Shaw C.P.M./Asset Manager – AHF
Florida Mr. Shaw joined Atlantic Housing Foundation,
Inc.in
February, 2007. Ken brings 35+ years of property
and asset management experience including 20 years
specializing in Affordable Housing programs with
Housing Systems, Inc., Atlanta, GA and the National
Housing Partnership, Washington, D.C.
Ken is a graduate of University of Georgia with a Bachelors Degree
in Business Administration with a Major in Management. He
completed his Certified Property Manager designation in 1975 and
has been an active member since and served as Chapter President
(Orlando) in 1991. Ken and his wife reside in the Orlando
area.
