Building Apartment Homes. Serving People. Transforming Communities.

At Atlantic Housing Foundation, we’re all about transformation. Whether we’re building apartment homes from the ground up or renovating down to the studs, we’re working toward positive change in communities across the southern United States. As a nonprofit organization, we build, renovate, and operate affordable apartment communities to meet the needs of low to moderate income residents. We also provide mixed income, workforce, student, and senior housing.

Our passion for serving the residents in our communities drives our decisions and business model. Through scholarships, community services, and educational opportunities, we encourage our residents to break cycles of poverty, pursue their goals, and impact the communities where they live.

Whether you’re looking for an affordable apartment home, considering an investment in one of our projects, or want to join the Atlantic Housing team, we welcome you to explore this site and discover how you can bring transformation to a community near you.

AHF Renovates Waters at Augusta Apartments

Atlantic Housing Foundation is renovating the Waters at Augusta Apartments in Greenville, South Carolina. The property, formerly known as Shemwood Crossing, is located in the Pleasant Valley neighborhood about four miles south of the city center and was acquired by AHF as part of an affordable housing portfolio in 2019. Built in 1969, it consists of 200 project-based voucher (Section 8) townhomes that have long been in need of rehabilitation. With this renovation, AHF aims to make Waters at Augusta a great place to live for the residents and surrounding Greenville community. Along with significant improvements to all apartment units, the project will include green energy-saving initiatives and a new playground for kids. This exciting renovation is scheduled for completion around November of 2023.

AHF Volunteers at West Dallas Multipurpose Center

Bitter cold and rain couldn’t keep these dedicated Atlantic Housing team members from their Passion for Service! Twenty-six Atlantic Housing employees from both the corporate office and several apartment communities joined together to help out at the West Dallas Multipurpose Center. The center provides social services and space for nonprofits to use to meet the needs of the surrounding neighborhoods. They cleaned, organized, decorated, potted plants, cleaned out garden beds, and put together hygiene packages. Special thanks to Manager Ashley Hutto for hosting our enthusiastic volunteers. We hope the tasks we accomplished will help the center staff as they continue providing valuable services to the West Dallas community.
